Why Ninja Coffee Makers Might Beep 3 or 5 Times And Stop Brewing
If your Ninja coffee maker beeps and stops brewing, there is an issue with the position of the drip stop. Depending on when in the brew cycle you turn the drip stop to the wrong position, the Ninja coffee maker can even beep 3 or 5 times. The number of beeps will depend on the model you have.
What Is the Drip Stop?
At the bottom of the brew basket where the coffee flows into the pot, there is a small lever that moves left and right. This lever is the drip stop. When you are facing the Ninja coffee maker, pushing the lever to the left will close it. When the drip stop is in the closed position, coffee will be prevented from dispensing into the coffee pot. Pushing the drip stop to the right will open it so coffee can flow. The benefit of drip stop is that you can close it mid brew to pause brewing. This gives you a chance to pour yourself a cup of coffee.
Ninja Coffee Maker Stops Brewing And Beeps
If you close the drip stop mid brew to pour coffee, you have a short time to reopen it. On the Ninja DualBrew, the coffee maker will beep after 30 seconds to remind you that the drip stop is closed. On the Specialty coffee maker, it will beep after 20 seconds. If you don’t open the drip stop to resume brewing within 5-6 minutes of the beep, the Ninja will stop brewing.
Ninja DualBrew Coffee Bar Beeps 3 Times
If you forget to open the drip stop before you begin a brew cycle, your Ninja DualBrew coffee bar will beep 3 times and the indicator light will turn on. To fix this, you will need to push the lever to the open position and press START brew. Close the drip stop when the brew is over.
Ninja Specialty Coffee Bar Beeps 5 Times
The Ninja Specialty coffee bar will beep 5 times and the light will turn on if you forget to open the drip stop before you start brewing. To fix this, you will need to push the lever to the open position and select your brew type. Close the drip stop when the brew is over.
