How To Lookup Your Keurig’s Serial Number To Determine What Model You Have

Keurig has been around for more than 20 years. Over that time, they’ve released more than 80 different models. Most have been discontinued, but there are still more than 20 available today. How can you tell which Keurig model you have? To start, you’ll want to lookup the serial number on your Keurig. To do that you’ll need to know where the serial number is; it’s different across the various Keurig models. We’ve compiled the SN location for the various types of Keurigs out there to make it easy for you to find yours. Then we’ll explain how to use it to figure out what Keurig you have.

Keurig Serial Number Lookup By Model

For most Keurig models, you will find the serial number behind the water tank. Depending on the model, the water tank will either be on the side or on the back of the machine. There are also a handful of models that will have the SN on the bottom of the unit instead.

If you are not sure what model you have, see if any of the pictures below look like your machine. Then follow the directions. If none do, just try looking in the three areas described above.

K-Select and K-Elite

The serial number is on the side of the coffee maker, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir and you’ll find it.

K-Cafe

The serial number is on the side of this Keurig coffee machine, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir to see it.

K-Mini and K-Mini Plus

The serial number is on the bottom of the Keurig Mini and Mini Plus. Before you tip it backwards to find it, make sure the water tank is empty. Also remove the drip tray.

K-Slim

The serial number is on the back of the coffee maker, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir and you’ll find it.

K-15

The serial number is on the bottom of the K-15. Before you tip it backwards to find it, make sure the water reservoir is empty. Also remove the drip tray.

K-Duo Plus

The serial number is on the bottom of the unit, on underside of the round drip tray. Lift and remove the water tank. Also remove the drip tray. Tip the K-Duo Plus backwards to find the serial number.

K-Duo & K-Duo Essentials

The serial number is on the back of the coffee maker, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir and you’ll find it.

K-Supreme

The serial number is on the left side of the unit. If your water tank is also on this side, you will need to lift it and remove it to find the SN.

K-Supreme Plus and K-Supreme Smart Plus

The serial number is on the bottom of the coffee machine. Lift and remove the water reservoir. Then remove the drip tray. Now you can tip the unit backwards to show the SN.

K-Compact

The serial number is on the back of the coffee maker, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir and you’ll find it.

K-Classic

The serial number for your K-Classic will be in one of two places. For most units, it will be on the side. Just lift and remove the water tank to see it. If it is not there, then it will be on the body behind the drip tray. Remove the drip tray and look into the drip tray cutout.

K-Latte

The serial number is on the back of the coffee maker, behind the water tank. Lift and remove the reservoir and you’ll find it.

How To Use The SN To Determine Which Keurig Model You Have

Once you have your Keurig serial number, there are a few different things you can do to determine what model you have if you are unsure.

Google

Take your serial number and type it into Google search. The results may tell you what the Keurig model is associated with this number.

Register Your Keurig

If you haven’t done so already, now that you have your serial number, it’s a good time to register your brewer. Most Keurigs will have a one year warranty. When you register, it will pull up the name of the model you have.

Contact Keurig Support

If all else fails, you can provide your SN to Keurig customer support. They’ll be able to look up the number and tell you which model you have.

  1. When I put in the serial number for the Keurig in google like all the instructions state to do,
the number brings up results for Xerox, LG fridge and a pistol to name a few!
Why is there no way to look up my keurig on the actual keurig website???
