Vertuo espresso and Vertuo coffee capsules are larger and more rounded and dome shaped; an Original espresso pod would not fit into a Vertuo machine. In addition, the Vertuoline utilize a unique barcode printed on the pods to ensure that each espresso and coffee flavor is brewed to perfection. Original line capsules do not have any barcodes. The Vertuoline won’t brew any pod without a barcode.
